What is psychological therapy?

Psychological therapy is sometimes referred to as ‘talk therapy’. It focuses on in-depth mental health assessments and treatments that identify the things that are stopping you from feeling the way you want to feel (and how you can manage them).
These could be psychological, emotional and/or behavioural concerns, specific problems in your life, or you could have a certain wellbeing goal that you want to reach – and you want professional guidance to get there.
Psychologists use a number of different approaches during therapy, depending on what you need. This might include strategies for understanding why you are feeling a certain way, identifying unhelpful patterns of thoughts or behaviours and what to do about them, and building psychological resilience. We also offer in depth therapeutic approaches to process trauma, heal from complex family legacies or manage chronic mental illness.
We’re a highly-skilled team offering the latest evidence-based treatments. But more importantly? We are committed to helping our clients create real, sustainable change.
